Why Allegiance Gold

Do not choose a gold company for what it says. Choose one that will answer questions.

You are not simply comparing gold companies. You are deciding who can be trusted with money that may have taken decades to build. Every dealer will tell you they are trustworthy and different — words are free. So rather than describe ourselves, we wrote down the ten questions we would want our own parents to ask before handing money to anyone, and answered every one in writing.

Take this list to any dealer you are considering. Including the ones who are not us.

—What is actually at stake

Gold is not the goal. What you built is.

Almost nobody calls us because they want coins. They call because they want clarity about money that took a working life to accumulate, and reassurance that they are not about to make an expensive mistake with it. That is a different conversation from selling metal, and it is the one we have organised the company around.

IndependenceThe freedom to retire on your own terms rather than around the next financial surprise.
Purchasing powerWhat your savings can actually do over time — not what a statement balance says this quarter.
ControlOwning something you can identify, verify, and sell back on terms you understood before you bought.
01How to read this page

This is a checklist, not a sales pitch.

Most “why choose us” pages are a list of adjectives. Trusted. Transparent. Committed. You have read them on nine other websites this week, and not one told you anything you could verify.

So we built this page differently. Below are ten questions — the ones that separate a firm worth your money from a firm that is very good at sounding like one. Each includes why it matters and exactly how we answer it.

Use it on us. Then use it on everyone else. If another dealer answers all ten as plainly as we have, you have found a good company and we are glad. If they cannot, you have learned something more useful than anything we could have claimed about ourselves.

02The ten questions

Ask these ten things. Of us, and of everyone else.

Nothing here is a trick question. Every one has a straight answer, and a firm that cannot give you one has told you something important.

Can I see your fee schedule before I speak to anyone?

A dealer who will not publish costs until you are on the phone has made a choice about who the information is for.

Our answerOurs is published. A precious metals IRA with our current partners typically runs about $225 a year with commingled storage, or $275 with segregated — roughly $125 in annual custodial fees plus $100 or $175 in storage. It is on our Gold IRA page right now, before you call anyone.

Does the price change if I talk to a person instead of ordering online?

In some places, the cost of a salesperson is built into what you are quoted. You would have no way of knowing.

Our answerNo. You pay the same price whether you order online at two in the morning or spend an hour with a specialist. Our people are paid out of our margin, never added to your cost — and you can check it by comparing our product page to your written quote.

How are your representatives paid, and does it change with what I buy?

This is the question almost no dealer will answer. Compensation shapes advice, and you are entitled to know the shape of it.

Our answerOur employees receive a salary or hourly wage plus incentive pay that varies by product type. We will walk you through exactly how that works before you decide anything. We would ask every dealer you speak with the same question.

What would you pay me for this exact item today?

The buy price is half a transaction. Without the sell price you cannot know the real spread, and the spread is where most of the cost lives.

Our answerAsk us and we will tell you the current repurchase figure on the specific product you are considering, before you buy it. Knowing the exit before the entrance is the single most useful thing a first-time buyer can do.

Who actually holds my metal, and are they a separate company from you?

If the dealer, the custodian and the depository are the same organisation, nobody independent is checking anyone.

Our answerFor an IRA, an independent IRS-approved custodian administers the account and a separate third-party depository stores the metals. We are the dealer, and only the dealer. We never hold your IRA assets.

Will you tell me if precious metals are the wrong choice for me?

Any firm can say yes to this. Fewer can point to the times they did it.

Our answerYes, and we do. If the timeline, the account size or the objective does not fit, a specialist will say so. Some people call and tell us up front that they are not buying — they just want to understand it. We spend the hour anyway.

What happens to my phone number after this call?

The most common complaint in this industry is not price. It is the calls that never stop.

Our answerOne conversation does not enroll you in a campaign. You control the next step — tell us whether you would like more information, another conversation, or no further contact, and that is what happens.

Where do your products actually come from?

"Rare" and "exclusive" are marketing words. Mint, weight, purity and mintage are facts.

Our answerAuthorized wholesale dealers of the U.S. Mint, the Royal Canadian Mint and The Royal Mint, plus a limited-mintage coin struck with The Perth Mint that no other U.S. dealer carries. Every product is quoted by weight, purity and total price.

What can I check about you without taking your word for it?

Awards printed as graphics are not evidence. Links to the issuing body are.

Our answerMoney named us Best Overall Gold IRA Company for September 2026. Inc. lists us at No. 749 in 2023 and No. 2,187 in 2024. A+ with the BBB, AAA with the Business Consumer Alliance, 5 stars on TrustLink, 4.9 on Trustpilot. Every one of those links out to the organisation that issued it.

Who is accountable if something goes wrong?

A brand name is not a person. You should be able to find out who runs the company and what they have actually done.

Our answerMark Naaman, Chief Executive Officer, is a licensed tax professional and the author of The Perfect Fit. Alex Ebkarian, Chief Operating Officer, began at Smith Barney and hosts a weekly live call-in radio programme on Salem's ANSWER network — unscreened questions, every week.

Take the list with you. Print this page, or write the ten questions down. Then call two other dealers before you call us. We would genuinely rather you did — a client who compared and chose us stays a client. A client who felt rushed does not. Want the background first? Start in the Learning Center.

The price is the price. Talking to a person does not cost you more.

Bring the quote. Keep control of the decision.

Send us what another dealer put in front of you. We will read it line by line and tell you what you are actually being charged, in writing, whether or not you ever buy anything from us.

  • Whether you are comparing like for like, or two different products
  • The premium over spot, separated from the recurring fees
  • What that same product would repurchase for today, and the resulting spread
  • Who the custodian and depository are, and whether either is owned by the dealer
  • Which questions the proposal leaves unanswered, and how to ask them

06Who you actually deal with

You can look up the people who run this company.

In an industry where the voice on the phone is often the only human you ever encounter, it is worth knowing who stands behind them.

07What we will not do

Six things this industry does that we have chosen not to.

A list of commitments is easy to write. A list of refusals costs something, which is why almost nobody publishes one.

No manufactured deadlinesNo price that expires tonight, no allocation that is about to run out. A decision that only works under pressure was not a good decision.
No follow-up campaignsOne conversation does not enroll you in months of calls. You tell us how, and whether, you would like the conversation to continue.
No fear-based sellingWe will explain what precious metals do and do not do. We will not build a case on predictions nobody can make.
No unverifiable claimsEvery rating and award on this site links to the body that issued it. If we cannot point you to the source, we do not print it.
No guarantees of performanceMetals can fall. They pay no dividend or interest. Any firm promising otherwise is telling you something untrue.
No pretending to be your adviserWe are a dealer. We are not an IRA custodian, a depository, a securities broker or a tax professional, and we will tell you when a question belongs with yours.
08What actually happens

Before you call, here is exactly what a first conversation looks like.

Nobody should have to phone a company blind, wondering what they are walking into. So there is no mystery about it.

  1. You talk, we listenWhat are you trying to protect, over what timeline, and what worries you? We do not quote anything until we understand that.
  2. We explain the options plainlyDirect ownership versus a Gold IRA, gold versus silver, bullion versus premium products — what each actually costs and where each falls short.
  3. You see the whole numberProduct, quantity, premium, any custodian or storage fees — and the current repurchase figure, so you know the exit before the entrance.
  4. You go away and thinkNo decision is asked for on the call. Take a week, take a month, compare us against two other firms. That is the outcome we want.
09After you buy

Most dealers are built for the purchase. We are built for the years after it.

People come to us to buy. They stay because they know they can still pick up the phone long after the transaction is closed — and reach someone who already knows their account.

Compare a later quoteConsidering a purchase somewhere else? Send it over. We will break it down whether or not you buy from us.
IRA questions, answeredCustodian paperwork, contributions, a later rollover or transfer, statements — call us rather than guessing at a form.
Distributions and RMDsWhen required minimum distributions arrive, we help you understand the options, including taking metals in kind rather than being forced to sell.
Liquidity when you need itOur buyback process: request to sell back metals purchased from us at any time. We evaluate and may make an offer at current market value.
Storage and custody changesMoving between commingled and segregated, or between depositories? We coordinate it with the custodian.
A straight answer, still freeYears later, with no purchase pending, you can still call and simply ask something. That has not changed since 2017.

“Clients come to us to buy. They stay because they know they can also call to compare a quote, ask a question, coordinate an IRA need, understand a distribution, request liquidity — or simply get a straight answer without pressure.”

10Check all of it

Six claims. Six organisations that will confirm them without us in the room.

11Straight answers

The questions people ask us before they decide.

What makes Allegiance Gold different from other precious metals dealers?
Four things you can check rather than take on faith. Our IRA fee schedule is published before you call. You pay the same price whether you order online or work with a specialist, because compensation comes out of our margin rather than your cost. We will quote the current repurchase figure on a product before you buy it. And both founders are named, with credentials you can verify — one of them takes unscreened live calls on the radio every week.
Is Allegiance Gold more expensive than ordering online?
No. The price is identical. You can confirm it in three minutes by comparing the figure on our product pages with the figure on your written quote.
What does a Gold IRA cost with Allegiance Gold?
Typically about $225 a year with commingled storage or $275 with segregated — roughly $125 in annual custodial fees plus $100 or $175 in annual storage. A one-time product premium applies at purchase, and a repurchase spread applies if you sell. Fees are set by independent providers and can change; the written schedule controls. Full breakdown here.
How are your people paid?
A salary or hourly wage, plus incentive pay that varies by product type. That compensation is paid from our margin and never added to your price. We will walk you through the specifics before you decide anything — and we would ask every dealer you speak with the same question.
Will you tell me not to buy?
Yes, when that is the honest answer. If the timeline, the account size or the objective does not fit, a specialist will say so. Some people tell us at the start of the call that they are not buying and only want to understand how it works. We spend the hour anyway.
Who holds the metal in a Gold IRA?
An independent, IRS-approved custodian administers the account and a separate third-party depository stores the metals. Allegiance Gold is the dealer and never holds your IRA assets. That separation is a protection, not a formality.
Can I sell my metals back to Allegiance Gold?
You may request to sell back metals purchased from us at any time. We evaluate the request and may make an offer based on business conditions and current market value. A repurchase offer is not guaranteed. Ask for the current repurchase figure on any product before you buy it.
Do you pressure people or call repeatedly?
No. There are no manufactured deadlines and no follow-up campaigns. Our approach is education before action, and you control what happens next — tell us whether you would like more information, another conversation, or no further contact.
Is Allegiance Gold legitimate?
Are precious metals guaranteed to hold or increase in value?
No. Gold, silver and other precious metals can decline in value, may underperform other assets for long periods, and pay no dividends or interest. No dealer can guarantee future performance. Read the risk disclosure before purchasing.
No pressure. Choose your pace.

Whether you buy from us or not, make sure the decision is a good one.

Ask us all ten questions. Then ask somebody else the same ten. Bring a competitor’s quote, ask what your metal would sell back for, ask us to talk you out of it. Fifteen minutes with a specialist, free, with no obligation to buy anything — and no follow-up you did not ask for.
